Regular (firearms) hunting season begins Saturday, Nov. 20, in many parts of our region. But there are plenty of parks and preserves in New York and New Jersey that are or include no-hunting areas.

Just remember: It's always a good idea to wear bright colors when outside this time of year, no matter where you go.

The Nominating Committee of the Trail Conference presents several candidates for the Board of Directors for three-year terms and At-Large Voting Members for one-year terms. These nominations will be voted on at the Annual Meeting to be held on Sunday, Nov. 14, via Zoom.

Over 100 Trail-A-Thon'ers from 5 states, ages 5 to 84, geared up to venture more than 8,000 miles. They came together in the spirit of what our organization was founded on, 101 years ago: ensuring great outdoor experiences are possible today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.

While ticking off those miles, we raised nearly $29,000 to support our mission into our second century of service. Because when we work together as a Trail Family, anything is possible!
