The Catskills Lark in the Park is an annual celebration of the Catskill Park and the Catskill Mountains Region.

The 2018 Catskills Lark in the Park will be held Saturday, Sept. 29 through Monday, Oct. 8. Since its inception in 2004, the Lark has brought together people and organizations participating in hundreds of events aimed at celebrating and heightening awareness of the Catskill Mountains region of New York State and the Catskill Park. Activities annually include organized hikes, bicycle trips, paddles, service, and cultural and educational events. The coordination of this event is managed through a partnership between the Trail Conference, the Catskill Mountain Club, The Catskill Center, and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

The Trail Conference is hosting several events during this year's Lark:

Saturday, Sept. 29
Leave No Trace Hike at Giant Ledge
Join Trail Conference Leave No Trace Master Educator Heather Darley for a moderate, 2.9 out-and-back hike to Giant Ledge, which offers spectacular views.

Saturday, Oct. 6
Echo Lake Lean-to and Campsite Restoration
Join the Catskill Conservation Corps as we work to make your experience in the Catskills more enjoyable and do important lean-to maintenance work.

Monday, Oct. 8
Hike with a Steward to North Mountain
Come out with our Head Catskill Steward on a 5-mile, easy-to-moderate hike in the Catskill's beautiful North Mountain!  Enjoy amazing views on your hike, while learning about our Steward program.
