Park Description
Saxon Woods Park
Saxon Woods Park stretches for 2.5 miles along the Mamaroneck River, in the heart of Westchester County. The topography is typical Westchester woodland with tall trees, wetlands, rock outcroppings, and little understory.
A golf course, picnic area, and swimming pool are also in Saxon Woods.
The park is named for William Saxon, who operated a saw mill on the river in colonial times. A Westchester County park pass is not required to use the trails, but is required for the swimming pool.
